The Kiwanis Club of Tweed supports community projects, activities, programs and organizations such as the Accessible Playground at Memorial Park; sports, culture and recreation programs / facilities for children and youth; literacy initiatives at local schools; the local food bank and food security initiatives at our schools and in the community; hospice and hospitals; and much more! We also organize the annual ‘Trash Bash’ every April. The Club manages the historic Pavilion on Stoco Lake in Tweed Memorial Park. In 2024, we began having food drives at our key events.
Our Club raises money from the generosity of those who live in our community and their friends. We undertake fundraising activities such as the annual Community Lottery (sold out again for 2026); Community Breakfast & Bake Sale (February 15, 2026), Chicken Barbecue (August 20); our annual bonspiel (January 10); the sale of Nevada tickets; Pavilion rentals and events (e.g. Rock n’ Roll Dance Party with the Reasons on May 22). Funds raised are put back into the local community and organizations that embrace the ideals of Kiwanis. When you support our fundraisers, you are supporting our work in the community...Your next opportunity is the Community Breakfast and Bake Sale on Sun. February 15!
In 2025, our Club donated to or supported a number of organizations and initiatives summarized in the pics. Organizations / programs that would like to be considered for a donation should please submit a Donation Request Form (available on our website www.tweedkiwanis.ca).
